1. ARTISTS ARE ENTREPRENEURS
Yes, they are. Sounds surprising to you? Well, not to artists. Every artist sets up their own plan of work, their own unique approach to their goal, their own marketing strategy. Every setup they have, from every little arrangement to every large investment, their efforts are commendable. Making a business out of art needs a lot of effort and a great deal of creativity. Hence, artists are, absolutely, and very obviously, entrepreneurs.
2. ART HOLDS MEANING, EVEN IF YOU CANNOT SEE IT
Every piece of art has such deep insight into it, one just needs to understand. What an artist creates is never random. There is always, always a story behind, a connected inspiration. When someone looks at art blandly, plainly, without trying to know its story, it is equal to an insult to the artist and their creation. There are a lot of artworks, almost all of them, which are highly-priced according to a lot of people. 4. DEMAND OF FREE ART IS NOT COOL
This is one of the most ridiculous things people ask artists to do. All their hard work, their time, their money, their art tools, and all of their energy, why in the world would they give it for free? It is such a common assumption that art is extremely easy and artists do not have to put any effort, but it is the exact opposite of it.
5. ARTISTS DO STUDY, THEY GO TO COLLEGES
A quite funny misconception is this too that art is something so innate that artists do not need to study it, they do not have to learn from a professional. That is so not true! People spend years and years perfecting their skills, they go to colleges for mastering their skills and attain proper degrees, gain the necessary qualifications.
6. ARTISTS ARE NOT EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE PEOPLE!
How is this even a valid statement? It is extremely ridiculous how people assume that artists and poets and every other creative person are sad, alone, or emotionally unstable. Well, art is the expression of emotions, be it happiness or grief. That does not, in any which way, mean that they are unstable people. They are perfectly normal people with the power of giving their emotions a visual representation.
7. ARTISTS DO HAVE A LOT OF SCOPE IN ART AS A CAREER.
A very common assumption is that art is just a hobby, it cannot be a career. This is not true at all. Art as a career has a lot of scopes, and a lot many career options, A full-time artist also runs their household and is well off. Artists do not necessarily need another job to earn, being an artist is a job already!

8. ARTISTS ARE WELL PAID
Artworks are not always gifted, they are not given out freely. Not only artworks are brought at the decided prices, but they are also sold in auctions, bought in art galleries and exhibitions, and earn a handsome amount from there. All that is required is perfection, beauty and meaning, and people who are intrigued by art.
9. ARTISTS ARE TO BE GIVEN CREDIT
This is one of the most disturbing things that people do. People who post or show pictures of art without letting people know who the artist is, or without mentioning and giving them proper credits are just insulting their artwork. It is not wallpaper, people, it is someone's hard work put on a canvas. Be a little kind, give them the credit they deserve.
10. ARTISTS DO NOT GET FAMOUS ONLY AFTER THEY DIE
No, they don't need to be dead, famous artists are there and they are still alive. Many famous names of artists are the ones that are long dead, yes, but that does not mean it is a necessity! Artworks of artists gain as much recognition as they deserve, and so many of them are present in the moment they are appreciated, not hovering above heads as ghosts.
