How to create an abstract textured acrylic painting with bright colours ?

Rad Educators is a 1-year program intended to help beginner artists learn step-by-step techniques from professional artists across different mediums. This is in no way sponsored or promoted by any particular Art Brand.

Ready your colour pallete with the colours you would like. I choose bright yellow, orange, violet, mauve, scarlet, cobalt blue, and pink.

Pour the colours directly on your canvas or wooden board in circular waves.

My choice is not a brush, but a ruler here.

First, use only the smaller edge of ruler first and start strokes from the inside to the outside. After that use the longer edge and go in clockwise direction creating strokes.

Use your fingers to create a spiral in the center.

I'm now using gold and copper to cover the blank parts in background and highlight the center part.

Adding a few darker shades of brown and black wherever required to bring balance.

Watch the process video to have a better understanding of the painting technique.
